Reasons for trainers are as individual as the clients who seek them. Typically, reasons can be grouped into:

Maximizing the effectiveness of your workout. We use the latest in exercise physiology challenging you by: changing your muscle recruitment patterns (tempo); changing the stability of the training environment; training you in both phases of force: creation and de-acceleration; changing the exercise sequencing; introducing new exercises.

Working with you to do the exercise correctly. Form is important. Repetitvely doing a movement incorrectly creates muscle imbalances within your body. These imbalances become so hard wired into your system that they become very difficult to change. What starts out as simple imbalances become chronic injuries over time. Form is critical to a client who is interested in recovering from an injury, preventing a potential injury from arising, or simply understanding what an exercise is supposed to accomplish.

Encouragement. It helps to know that someone is watching you, expecting you to make your commitments and show progress.

Variety. If your workout plan is changing regularly, it keeps your training interesting and fresh. Your compliance to your program stays high. Without variety, your body begins to adapt to your training approach cutting down on it's effectiveness and reducing EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) which is that temporary state where your metabolism is revved up after training. Often a client doesn't have the time or expertise to introduce these changes to his/her workout.

Accomplish a specific goal. Sometimes a client wants to improve a golf swing, recover from the birth of a child, or back a car out without strain. We can help you get started, setting appropriate milestones and assisting you as required.
