Have patience and perserverance. The hardest step you'll take will be the first. Truely, every little bit helps. So, get started. Listen to your body, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and don't pay attention to those negative thoughts skipping in your mind. In time, it will get easier and all the positive comments from friends, family, and co-workers will build some public momentum. As a client of mine who lost 75 lbs said, "Weight loss has been a great motivator, but the comments from my husband, friends and co-workers have also kept me going. We've even started a noon hour walking group at my office that has grown to seven daily participants. I feel much
better, not just because of the weight loss, but because I am stronger and more active. The program has helped me achieve some balance in a very hectic life. A friend told me that he has noticed that I smile more now. That's the biggest motivator of all."
